The five new 3D printing resins nahezu cover almost all production steps for removable dentures: they enable the printing of models, the production of functional trays and the fabrication of try-ins and denture bases.

UCAN Print Base

UCAN Print Base was developed as a 3D printing resin for the generative production of denture bases. Compared to traditionally used PMMA-based materials, it guarantees low shrinkage (approx. < 1 %) and thus ensures a high accuracy of fit. UCAN Print Base fulfills all important dental requirements and is distinguished by high-impact properties as well as a low viscosity. This results in efficient construction processes and easy cleaning of the components.

UCAN Print Model

UCAN Print Model, a 3D printing resin used to fabricate dental models, is characterized by its high dimensional stability. Additional advantages are the optimized optics and tactility for dental applications. The special opacity of the material, as well as the color scheme in Ivory, ensure that important visual details, such as preparation lines, are optimally visible. This optimally supports integration into the laboratory's digital workflow. Due to the thermal stability of UCAN Print Model, dental models made of this material can be used particularly advantageously in thermoforming processes.

UCAN Print Splint

Als erstes biomimetisches 3D-Printing-Harz eignet sich UCAN Print Splint besonders für die generative Fertigung von hartelastischen, orthodontischen Schienen. Charakteristisch für UCAN Print Splint ist seine für diese Materialklasse aussergewöhnliche Dehnung sowie eine hohe Transparenz und UV-Stabilität. Sehr vorteilhaft ist in diesem Kontext, dass z.B. Sleeves einfach in die Schablone eingesetzt werden können und man so eine optimale Kontrolle während der Operation behält.

UCAN Print Tray

UCAN Print Tray is used for the additive fabrication of customized impression trays and functional impression trays. This material is distinguished by its high reactivity, which enables build styles with up to 300 µm Z-height, thus ensuring optimal efficiency in the laboratory. Further highlights are the biocompatibility and mechanical stability of the objects fabricated with UCAN Print, which meet high standards. The reason for this is that the material does not feature any product labels indicating toxic reproductive or teratogenic effects, which documents the exceptional biocompatibility for users and patients.

UCAN Print Try-In

Being a biocompatible Class 1 medical device, UCAN Print Try-in is suitable as a base material for the functional try-in of digitally fabricated dentures. This allows dental molds made from the material, such as denture bases that are generatively manufactured with customized tooth setups, to be checked in terms of bite registration and occlusion. The material is available in tooth shade A2. UCAN Print Try-in is characterized by its significantly improved chemical-physical values compared to its competitors (see competition - versus comparable products). Hence, this printing resin is particularly impressive in a direct comparison due to its up to 75% higher impact strength (according to ISO 180/U).
